1993 Volvo 945 L33

About
Well, here's my build thread for my blue wagon.  I'll post up pics soon and as I complete stuff on it.  Its primary purpose is to be a long-range well-powered high-mileage trip car.  No track use planned, just fast straight-line movement  8)  (I'll probably be building out my 1988 744t for track use though  :) )

Timeline
20080112  Bought the 945 from San Diego.
20131125  Picked up L33 from Mike, cobalt964 on ls1tech.com in Piedmont, OK.
20140223  Pulled the B230FT.
20141129  Installed the L33 for hopefully the last time (for a while.)
20150913  L33 first start.
20170121  First drive on the street with L33.

Specs

Volvo Chassis Specs

Ok, so here's what I did this past weekend with the completely insanely awesome weather.

Pulled the L33:

Pulled out the clutch bleeder:

Installed a remote bleeder from Speedway Motors (5151399-48):

Hammered on the transmission tunnel.

Re-installed L33:

Nice ovlov bro. What are you going to run for a diff?

Get some pics of how that tr6060 fits in there. Are you going to have to modify the tunnel? I didn't think one would fit easily but I've mainly looked at 240s.

Thanks, I'm hoping to run with the stock diff for a while.  They're supposed to be able to handle a good amount of torque, but we'll see.  If not, then it'll be Ford 8.8 time.

I can get pics of the Magnum fit, no problem.  I only had to hammer on the passenger side tunnel near the firewall.  After that (and having that Holley oil pan and the set-back shifter) it fits like a glove!

Started messing with the injectors.... You'd think I would have done this months ago  :banghead:

[attach=2 width=400]

Measurements on that injector from right to left: 10mm, 13mm, 13mm, 8mm.

I wouldn't count on it living long.

I wouldn't either but some of that Volvo stuff is surprisingly stout.

I'm going 8.8 on my 4 cylinder turbo build. I don't trust a stock diff over 350-400 HP.

Here's some quick pics of my clearances; I'm at 1/2 inch everywhere, at least.

Throttle body with hood:

Oil pan with crossmember:
[attach=2 width=300]

Passenger side tunnel, hammered, with Magnum reverse-light switch:
[attach=3 width=300]

Driver side tunnel with Magnum and remote bleeder:
[attach=4 width=300]

Underside oil pan and rear of crossmember:
[attach=5 width=300]

Passenger side, there's more room there than it looks like:
[attach=6 width=300]

Driver side, steering rack, crossmember, and mount:
[attach=7 width=300]

Rear of LS6 intake, a good bit of room in front of the firewall:
