If I planned out my builds like that I would never finish.  I need to be in he blind and just order as I need so I worry less about cost.  I probably have 6k left to finish my truck but I dont liike to see it in black and white and My wife wouldnt either LOL

LOL.   I plan and implement multimillion dollar network designs for a living so obsessive detail is kind of my m.o.

I too tried the spreadsheet thing. It just depressed me. Ignorance is bliss.

Oh and it's not the big ticket items, it's all the little stupid crap that is depressing.

Can someone spot the 2 issues with my badass new intake manifold?

2 tips:  It's not anything wrong with the intake itself, and it's not the fuel rails I haven't bought yet.

Decided to get the boss manifold eh?  Aren't you going to have to adjust the piping with your cold side?

The two of you combine for both right answers.

It hits the hood and it trashes my intercooler piping.

Oh well, going to get a cowl and build a new charge pipe.

Eh, I just spent 3 hours looking at cowl hoods.  I hate them all.   They look weird on an early Mustang because of the wiper cowl.   The hood doesn't meet the windshield and it looks weird.   I'd be okay with an "Eleanor" style bump, but I don't think it'll clear it.    Plus I spent like 11 thousand hours on my hood, and while it's not perfect, it's pretty good.

Phooey.   Sending the intake back to Jegs.  :(

But hey I'll buy coil covers for the valve covers, my fuel rails and the rest of the fuel lines or something instead.

On a side note, the Aeromotive Stealth system I bought is pretty neato.    Hopefully going to install that this weekend if I find time around Christmas parties and building my air system.

Going to just run the standard car 5.0 intake instead? Since you are going turbo, the Boss intake is probably less of a pickup in power I'd think.

Yeah, I'm limited by the bottom end no matter what, so if I make 750 flywheel with 9 lbs of boost and a bad ass intake, or 10.5 lbs of boost and a stock 5.0 intake, it doesn't really matter.

But, but, it looked SOOOO good.  LOL.

That is how I feel about the Holley high and mid ram intakes, they look so good but don't fit well...
