something like this on the hood would help break things up and accent the black grill very nicely

Been busy with work and some other stuff (my nephew is playing for UCF so I went to see him when they played Michigan), but I should be back on this soon.    I did get a radiator (AFCO) and a fan (Volvo) for it that fit fantastic.   Trying to get the last stuff that's needed for paint in the next few months.

So I have BeasTT's TIG machine on loan for a while, so I'm going to learn how to do that and start making some more fancy shit.   Need to build the radiator hoses and the charge pipes.    Then I need exhaust.   Pretty stoked to learn TIG.

If you can chew bubble gum and walk while rubbing your belly and patting your head, you can learn to TIG no problem.

Going from mig to TIG was a mind fuck... I tried learning on a pipe roller, so one foot for the roller, one for the welder, one hand holds the stick and the other holds the torch.  Holy shit... Trying to modulate the pedals, work the torch and roll the stick in my hand was incredibly hard...  I kept trying to push the rod in, instead of rolling it towards it... I practiced rolling the rod in my hand to the point where I did it unconsciously, that helped.

So you're saying you needed to be both ambidextrous and pedidextrous?
Or would that be quadradextrous?   Shit, now my head hurts...   :banghead:

I think learning how to TIG is easy, mastering it is hard.

An early attempt.   This is a removable lower cross brace:

There was a touch of oil in the joint that I didn't get cleaned out which is what caused that bit of contamination I think.

Unrelated, I have both of the turbos in place and finally finished the second cross brace.   Now I need to built the skidplate, a couple more small braces/tweaks on the frame rails and the rear suspension bracing.   Then it's cooling system, braking system, charge pipes...     Hoping to get the engine bay work done sooner than later after which it's time for paint!!!   :D

Looks like you got plenty of heat in there, are you going to have to weld the skids at all?
