I'd give a new diaphragm a try. It could have been ruptured while you were playing with pwm. Maybe a pressure spike?

Oh, yeah, whoops.

There's your problem, caller.

So when I had the old pump setup in this tank, I had cut down the barbs to lower the strain on the hose/pump barbs.   That worked fine.   The brushless pump, however, when I installed it, was off axis slightly and put strain on that hose.   That, with the shorter barb caused it to pop loose.

I redid the mounting in the tank so that it's dead in line and can't easily come loose now, but I also went ahead and ordered a fresh barb to be double sure.

So, my FPR was innocent.   It was a weird failure mode.  Oh well, got a new shiny one coming anyway, hah.

Good find! I like to use the "Click type" hose clamps as they're less likely to damage the outside of the fuel hose. Especially helpful when submerged. This build is so sick! keep it up!

Yeah, I'm fairly sure the motor is fine, but glad to have the Haltech for sure!  It didn't go "OMG, you melted your pistons" lean, but it definitely leaner than I'd like it to!

Fun fact, when I turned the pump back on at 50% duty cycle after fixing that hose, my FPR was at 136 PSI, LOL.    That was cranked ALL the way down from testing, but, still, damn, that pump moves some head pressure if needed!

Okay, so did a quick pull last night and it spammed DBW errors again.    Reached out to Haltech and they stated it's likely a DBW TB problem.    I had a DBW throttle issue once with the AEM also, so...  I guess we'll see if maybe my TB was just bum?   I'll go to a 2018+ TB while I'm at it I guess.    Dangit.

Yikes, I feel I have a similar issue with my NW 90MM TB.  I like how you grab on to it then go a different direction, I am going to pee away 2 years of tuning before I give up LOL

I did another pull last night with better logging;   I’m just not sold it’s a DBW error.   I had zero DBW mismatch in commanded vs actual until AFTER the ECU shut it off.   So the errors and stuff seemed to happen AFTER the ECU disabled the throttle.

What I did have was a fuel injector duty cycle greater than 90% error.   That error is crap, my duty cycle never passed 60%.    Looks like Haltech has some background with that happening and had discussions about disabling that DTC.

I don’t think THAT is the issue either.   At least not directly.    I have a new theory:   Boost cut.     My logging speed for boost is somewhat slow and I noticed that it’s 13.5 on the way DOWN, not peak.    Boost cut was like 16.   I bumped it up slightly and I’ll bump down duty cycle on the boost controller.

I did the pull through two gears and WOT in 2nd I short shifted to 3rd and only hit about 12 psi.   No issues.  3rd was fine until ~15 psi then it drove off a cliff.     Anyway, that’s my theory now.   I’m going to hit Haltech up about it also, but it makes sense at least!

I saw something similar on an e1500 while running a still rotary FD. There seemed to be a little lag in what the log was showing and what the ECU was seeing. Ended up manually verifying boost level with an old mechanical guage.
The haltechs are super sensitive to what you've set as safeties. It almost seems like it's predictive based on the acceleration of the reading. If your have it set to 15psi and it sees you get there rapidly it'll cut off before you even get over 15. Just a theory though.

I'm somewhere in the mid 90s percent confident that's the issue.   I looked back at old logs and this didn't happen a single time until I cranked the boost duty cycle up.   I don't believe in coindicence and I know my DBW works FINE at ~12 PSI, I really don't think that at 13.5 psi (recorded) it suddenly fails.   Also, as noted, the logs say it's fine too.

Unfortunately I've been too busy on other stuff to test it, but I will soon.   :)

So, this has been on hold for most of the summer (though I've driven it plenty) while I finish the 2JZ28 project.

Anyway, that's almost done, so I've got a few things in process on this now:

1.  Ordered a 15:1 (3.1 turns lock/lock) rack instead of my 20:1 (4+ turns lock/lock).     The slow steering is MADDENING so I'm really, really looking forward to this.   I also ordered poly rack mounts and the rack itself is a Flaming River unit also.    I have a couple of SLIGHTLY crunchy/clunky spots in my steering system now that I notice from time to time, so I'm going to look at the geometry while it's apart and see if I can smooth that out.   It's very minor, but it's improvable (probably).

2.  Ordered chopped carbon and epoxy to do my center console lid in "forged carbon" because I'm a ricer at heart.

3.  Ordering (soon) the parts to convert my HVAC controls to dials instead of sliders, so that I can put them in a cool panel I machined.

4.  Redoing the controls on the center console including CAN bus based keypad, new layout for power windows/power locks, cleaning up for the removed parking brake (which will now be CAN based...) and mounting the  armrest.

5.  Putting in a small bluetooth stereo/amp so that I have music.

6.  Fixing the parking brake shoe mount that is currently held in with safety wire (LOL)

7.  Misc other stuff.   I want to finish my custom CANbus keypad interface for the Haltech.

OH!   I bought floormats and sunvisors.   And I need to fix the window alignment on the driver side door as it's a little wonky.

Anyway, I'll be back on this stuff in the next few weeks and start knocking stuff off the list before spring.  :)
