The only time racists have balls is when they are already running away.

Exactly.   It's a fear based thing.

and Anonymity. Freemont is a big town, I lived there as a kid. Now I run security at a gated resort on the gulf. Only one gate and i'm required to log in a DL#. Most guests behave with manners because their anonymity is gone.

Patriotism/religion is the last refuge for a scoundrel.

You found a new low. Congrats.

Lol. It's not a general statement about those with patriotism, mind you, so much as a general statement about scoundrels. "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel" is also a quote by Samuel Johnson... :yay:

Thats one of the reasons I left rotary land... Id be at dyno days here in Orlando and the spanish guys would talk about me in spanish about how my parents mustve bought me the car, I dont deserve the car, etc etc. My engine builder at the time was puertorican and he knew i understood them. He would try to calm me down but eventually id get pissed enough to tall them I paid for it for no help and had a second job while in the military to pay 900 month for it to pay it off fast.

Then I lived where Trayvon was shot and had all the black people yelling racist stuff at me.

Ironically im the most laid back guy youll ever meet.

I'm a japanese guy that likes to go up north for riding dirt bikes and usually have some form of lifted truck in my fleet for the occasional wheeling and mudding.
I get lots of stares but never had any racial comments tossed my way aside from in the city.
It's weird how the 'hicks' and the 'rednecks' are actually really nice up north, but the city kids with their daddy bought superduties like to yell out the window at the rx7 with a giant wing on the back.

Like I said, I don't believe that's generally applicable to the majority of patriots or religious folks, so much as it is applicable to scoundrels. Does that make sense? The only folks this is meant to paint with a broad brush are "scoundrels" (lol). These are popular ways to lend one's self legitimacy. Which again, is not to say that the majority of patriots (of any given nation or cause) or religious folks (of any given religion) are merely 'lending themselves legitimacy". Do you see that I'm making that distinction?

+1. KKK and Third Reich both operated under religious and patriotic self-validation, and that line of thinking is still very prevalent today.

and there will always be scoundrels. Haters gonna hate. My wife is from Newfoundland, Canada. Whitest place I've ever been. You would think no prejudice if everyone looks alike, wrong. It's the Micks against the Blacks (Catholic against Protestant).
