Saw this just outside where I work.  Three link rear, front has tubular A arms with coilovers, Custom widebody ect. yardda yar... Pretty cool lookin...

I love the wheels and the flares are not horrible but like most I prefer the fastback.

Sounds like an interesting project, but if you do a roll bar or similar it will be tough to make it safe for kids in the back.  See it all the time, dumbass people with passengers and even kids sitting next to steel bars, all it takes is a low speed accident and head to steel contact to take them outa the game, bar padding doesn't offer much if any protection to a bare skull either.  I've wanted to do a similar build of an old muscle car with uber power and bitchin suspension/brakes/AC etc so I can take the fam for rides but it's a tough decision ... takes a long time to finish a project like this and by the time it's done its real common to be less than pleased by the result given the long build-up of anticipation.  Good luck with it, I'll look forward to living vicariously thru you as you post up a build thread on here!

I am OCD on bar safety,  so I hear you there.    I will likely brace the floor and call it good as far as that goes.

If they made a 3 seat Pro Mod chassis I would just put my neighbors trashed 57 post body on it and call it a day though,  LOL.

Since the whole Eleanor thing the 67/68 has been beat to death. I think the fastback from 66 is the new flavor.

I like the rear 1/4 on the 66 better than the 67-68 the more I look at it.

I don't like fastback/sport roof cars though.   Hardtop aka coupe for me.

I am a big fan of the very early cars, but I hate, hate, hate the 70s stuff.  A clean 90s Fox GT is nice, but not something I would build.   The 2013+ stuff is really slick, too.

I also like split bumper very early 70s Camaro, but despise the plastic bumper stuff.
