The single loop but mounted to the underside would look a lot cleaner, may have to clearance the bins or use a thinner fabric for clearance though

This is interesting idea... i probably should have left a gap/channel to do this. BUT, I wonder if I could do a little slit so it looks like the picture above. Hmm, this might make me hit up Blake for a 3D printed trim piece... wheels turning.

Straps! Took advice and went red nylon.  I ended up screwing them down.  I might hunt down all black hardware or paint them but just wanted them done for now.  Super happy with how they turned out.

Thanks guys! Still on todo list:

1) take car in for tune again to work in minor drivability and A/C issues.
2)locate and fix the small A/C leak. Anyone have any suggestions on this? Will a shop be better at finding the leak? I tried dye and glasses with no luck?
3) build a hitch for my bike rack. I will be asking for design advice once I dig into this project.
4) repaint a couple interior panels and under hood panels to match interior.

So I have had a small issue since I swapped the car. Because I am using the automatic PCM, it is constantly reading 158 mph because it is looking for the speed signal from the trans via CANBUS.  When I first swapped this motor in, I couldn't find any solution to the problem.  I then found a thread where a guy wired in a TCM and got it to communicate with the E38 PCM.
More details in this separate thread:
http://www.norotors.com/index.php?topic=25871.0

So right now it works from the standpoint of it will read "0" mph.  This has greatly improved my low speed drivabilty even though it isn't reading any speed.  I am working on getting with my tuner to turn off all the codes it is throwing because it is looking for a bunch of automatic trans things...  It is causing some error that it is cutting throttle when I get on it.  I hope turning off all these codes will solve that as well.

I had some time this weekend to repaint a couple of the interior panels and get rid of the much loved ( :barf: ) green under the hood.

I actually made it taller. I found the longer throw helped me on the track with shifts. Little more leverage.

Thanks! I’m really digging this gray. I have thoughts of doing the intake and strut bar but will probably leave it as is.

I used their Primer and single stage top-coat.  Very reasonably priced and is very easy to work with.

Cleaned up the engine bay a little and went for a cruise.  Car is running good!

As expected, I lost the majority of my refrigerant out of my AC.  It only leaks over the winter which I find odd.  Any thoughts on this?  I put dye in the system last year and can't find any leaks.  I am leaning towards the Compressor or Evaporator.   Both are not fun to get to....

And a quick pic:
