Cool!  Niece job all around.  Re: ABS have you studied the factory troubleshooting guide?  I'm not 100% but I think I saw reference to that in my 'bible' that came with my car when I was browsing it the other day.  If you don't have anything I will take a peek and see if there is anything that may help and post for you.

Digging the bins, I'm sure they are heavier and probably keep a lot of erroneous noises at bay.  I had to keep my velcroed down to stop the rattles.

I have went through the troubleshooting for all the sensors and thought I had fixed it with the burnt wire.  But it is still giving me the warning light.  I will probably pull out the factory manual and see what else I can test.  I feel like I need to test while it is giving me the warning light.

Velcro- That is an interesting idea.  I was going to replicate the factory clasp and use adhesive felt to keep it from rattling but Velcro is an interesting idea....

I have hit a snag in the process... My compressor broke another reed so I have to wait to fix this before I can glue everything.  I hate not being able to complete a project....................

I got my compressor back up and running and was able to complete the trunk and bin lids.  I am super stoked on how they both turned out.

For the trunk, I needed something with some stretch at the hing so I could get this in and out.  I was planning on using the felt style carpet because a regular backed carpet wouldn't stretch.  I found a local car upholstery shop, who mainly focuses on hot rods and older vehicles.  He ended up no having the felt stuff but did have the below fabric:

It is a nice tough fabric that he said he uses on trunks a lot.  really liked the look and it is very stretchy along the bias.  I glued it down to the backing using landau contact adhesive. I left a 6" section up the middle un-glued.  Sorry I didn't take progress pics, I always get caught up on focusing on getting it perfect.

Next up, the bin lids. I started out by painting the back side with SEM texture black:

Then covered with suede:

The edge isn't perfect but it also isn't seen unless you open them:

Both installed:

Next, wife is going to make me some small suede pulls/handles.

Thanks guys!!

Now I need some advice on the pulls for the bin lids:

Option 1:

Option 2:

I'm pretty sure I am going to hold them down with either two or a single black snap to keep the look pretty clean.  I would like feedback from you guys on which you think looks the best! I know which way I am leaning but always like other opinions.

I like the single loop attachment point.

Personally, I kinda like the idea of the same design in red, like a Porsche door pull:

...but that's a bit ostentatious.

Ok. Single loop for the win! I was leaning that way but like to get some feedback. It is going to have a snap so I can change them out, have a black one for the street and change to red for the track. Because racecar.

The single loop but mounted to the underside would look a lot cleaner, may have to clearance the bins or use a thinner fabric for clearance though
