OK, just because LSJ was mentioned a lot, here is a pic of the major problem with that setup:



Would require cutting off the end of the SC and welding a 180 degree bend I guess.  Or a 90 at least depending on room at the firewall.

Don't laugh, but just to throw something weird in the mix, how about a 1st gen Kia Sportage engine? It's a RWD config. Mazda FE-DOHC 2.0l.

We have put 4k miles on this car now since purchase.  It will die eventually, but in the mean time it is a fun cheap car.

Quick update, this car is still running good on the rotary.  We keep driving it......

Quick update, this car is still running on what was suppose to be a bad rotary.  Hit 75k miles over the weekend.  We have put 7k miles on this $2995 priced car after only having to do the de-flooding procedure.  I am smelling some coolant, but can't locate the leak.  There is no question is will go down, but cheap fun until then.

Wore the tires out on this car so I swapped the wheels with the other Rx8.

After it dies, then they swap the other rx8  motor into it, then when it dies.

Both Rx8's have dead rotaries now.  This one actually died last Friday, June 26th.  This month I am rebuilding my Rx7 drag car, see my other build thread.  My son is also swapping his Eagle Talon from automatic to 5 speed right now.  I told him to decide if we swap a V8 or Ecotec into this Rx8 over this winter.
