Answers some of the tire problem

I agree that there is no perfect car, and you have to find what your best is.

I also don't have to make a decision tomorrow

Wonder if those will work on a sedan.  The fronts will but what about the back.

How much torque can a E36 non euro diff handle? There is a lot of bs info out there, mostly people arguing, I can't seem to find a straight answer

seems like ive have hear around 600.  I know there are plent of turbo M3s still on stock diffs pushing well over 500 torque.  Im not sure how long they last though

Good to know, I doubt I will see over 500tq I am really leaning towards the M3, parts are easier to find, there are more of them and I think it would make a better DD, the cons of it is as said earlier limited amount of tire you can fit under it, not as light as an FD but I think it will work better for me

Also, once I have whichever car up and running with the LS in it, it will become my DD and I will sell my challenger and likely get a G8 GT in it's place (I want to do that now but good luck convincing the wife...)

For a sedan its very light at 3175 and my FD with full interior sound deadenig spare tire and the swap was 2889 which isn't much of a difference for having 2 more doors

Looks like a great deal.  I bought mine with 170k for $5000 but it has an engine with like 100k on it in it.  ON the M3s check all suspension and steering for loose parts.  Most need bushings with that many miles.  Also check for rust under the side skirts and on the rear diff and strut mounts.  Since its in Texas it should have zero rust though.  I'd buy it.

I am seriously considering it.  I am surprised at how clean it is, and another plus is it does not look like it has really been modified aside from the HID's.  I gotta sell this FD first...

Cars don't cost anything when they're in the garage.  Hay burners are worse than having kids!!!

We are down to only one!!!  Who would have ever thought there would be something more expensive than a car note, insurance, gas and all maintenance combined A MONTH!

She is working at a barn now so she is actually bringing in more than she burns on horses, this why I am finally getting a project car again

Well if she Had 2 I was gonna say go ahead and get the M3 now so you both have two in the stable.

I see what you did there.  My garage is taken over with her horse stuff, my brother in law's stuff (currently living with me) a bunch of materials from the house renovation that is going on, having the RX7 in there alone is a miracle, let alone a BMW next to it.  After the New Year, it should clear out considerably especially if I sell the RX7 as planned.  What I like best about that M3 I have linked above, is I could drive it around until I have all the parts to do the swap.
