Lincoln ls rear end

Have someone in town who is parting out an 05 Lincoln ls. It is IRS, but have read it is a jaguar rear end. Can anyone confirm whether or not this would be good to swap into my fc?

It will be a lot of extra work over an Explorer 8.8 with the Ronin kit, but if you have the skills you can get it to physically work.

The 3.58 ratio will be a good fit for a V8 FC.

I have one. It is actually an 8.0 NOT an 8.8.
The shape is similar, but not exactly the same as a T-Bird, Cougar, Lincoln IRS.

It is an open dif., not limited slip, and the bearing caps look very light duty.

It did appear that an 8.8 LSD "might" bolt into it. The bolt pattern for the cover is the same as an 8.8.

I would not be tempted to use it.........even if I got it for free.
