93 Touring, Montego Blue, 5-spd
« on: February 13, 2013, 09:08:27 PM »
I'm offering my 1993 Mazda RX-7 for sale.  I've had the car since 2001.  Selling because I'm moving to New Mexico in June and need to get down to just two cars.  I'm currently Located near Dayton, OH.

General information & Specs:
Montego Blue paint in good condition
185k Miles
Clean title in-hand
Touring Model
Manual transmission (5-speed)
Tan leather interior in good condition
Power sunroof
Cruise control
Rear window wiper
Good tires
No body damage or door dings
Interior is in much better than average condition
Cold A/C
All buttons and switches work

Don't let the mileage fool you, most of the wear items have been replaced with stock or better aftermarket parts. Starts and runs great. It has a stock rebuilt engine but is starting to lose compression. I have a complete engine out of another car that I can include for an additional cost...or swap your V8 into it. :) It was in a minor front end collision prior to me buying it in 2001.

Drivetrain:
Open intake
Spec stage 2 clutch (20k miles)
Mazdatrix lightweight aluminum flywheel with replaceable friction surface (20k miles)
Mazda clutch-type limited slip differential
Gotham Racing short shifter

Suspension/brakes:
Full set of superpro polyurethane suspension bushings (20k miles)
Stainless steel brake lines

Exterior:
Mazdaspeed replica hood (fiberglass with carbon fiber overlay, painted, dime size blemish where the gel coat apparently shrunk)
96-98 Mazda Spoiler
Stock R1 front lip
99 spec tail lights (converted)

Interior:
NARDI steering wheel
Column mounted boost gauge
Flip out DVD player
10in Alpine Type R Subwoofer with custom box
Diamond Audio door speakers
Alpine Amp for door speakers
MMats 600W sub amp
Optima battery relocated to the passenger side storage bin (going down hill, will replace with the battery of your choice, not to exceed cost of a new optima)

Not interested in trades. It must go soon so I'm motivated to sell!

Edit: Price lowered to $8000.

After re-reading my original post, my statement about the engine losing compression isn't completely accurate.  It's had mediocre compression since day one so it's not on it's way out by any means.  It pulls about 12 in HG according to my boost gauge. It was rebuilt using my existing irons which were probably in need of a lapping. It has rotary aviation apex and corner seals on low mileage rotor housings. (about 50k miles on them now)  It was rebuilt with teflon encapsulated inner o-rings which should last quite some time.  A a local shop inspected it and while in there they put it on the dyno. It pulled 223 rwhp, so it's not suffering much, if any, in the performance category (still running stock cat and exhaust).

Also, the extra engine has been sold.

Someone buy it already!!
