Ive caught wind that nhra might actually buy the track out, but who knows these days. Its just a rumor. If they actually do close down im pretty sure bondurant will stay, and they have open track days every once in awhile.
No idea on pir though.

I guess we can hope. I'm going to be pissed if I get my car prepped for the track and they take it away. :( I'm going to be up in the area next weekend, volunteered at NASCAR then I'm getting wasted lol. Maybe I can ask about PIR track days then.

I might have missed it, but what fenders are those?

I was at pavillions and ran into some guys who told me firebird was already under new management, NOT closing and that they will be holding 2x the events from now on ;D dont know how valuble of a source they are but its a strand of hope!

Ps: I am so so so so so tempted to steal that rocket bunny wing idea off of you, it looks freaking sick.

Wing looks good too for being for a different car especially.

Hey guys, I make the tail lights.

Don't have any for FD. Not sure if I can make one without really cutting up the housings. FD tails have little room in them.

The tail lights are all behind their own voltage regulator with a reverse current diode protecting the power board. I run the LED's around 10v so they will be fine with car on or off. The Brake light pucks are quality automotive based led's. Not the standard 2 prong stuff you buy at stores. They are rated for 70ma but I run them around 45ma(not much brighter at higher ma) so there's plenty of head space. They are also color matched to the tail lenses so they don't lose brightness.
The halos are prebuilt but I run them behind a regulator as well. Running them without a regulator is dangerous, they are almost maxed out at 14.7v.

I've got a pair of first generation tails on my car that you saw in that video. They've been running for almost a year now. Left the car outside for a couple weeks now and no rain issues. Also did two drift events on them.
George also has a set on his Formula D car. They don't last as long, since he smashes them lol.

-------------------
As for the local tracks.
PIR infield was torn out. There is no more track days there. Infield was incredible.

Firebird's land lease with the Indians expires in April. Chuck is still running the place until then. Bondurant has purchase west track and the skidpad.

That's all there is for solid answers. The rest is hear say. We're all really hoping The Indians take over the track quickly and keep it going. We're also hoping Bondurant doesn't close off or charge extremely high rates to use skidpad and westrack.

They've never let us use their skid pad or tracks for events and it would suck to lose another great track here in Phoenix.
