I gotta kick outta everyone at the event touting how much boost they were running.  Conversations like, "I'm running 24 psi. Well yeah I'm running 30. That guys running 32."  Then they'd ask Mike, "How much are you running?"  He'd hold up 4 fingers and say, "About 4"

That dude is NOT running 4PSI....more like 24psi. I guess he can't count that high so he just puts up the 4 fingers....

Seems like trolling above, but I am too skeptical that 4ish psi making 600 rwhp can be that potent. The FD is light, no doubt, but victories against some of those opponents seem reasonably questionable when power to weight ratios are considered.

You do realize that 24 PSI on a 6.2L V8 with heads that flow 340+ CFM would be like 1200 RWHP right.  You picked the wrong site to troll if you keep this up.

PSI is (in a sense) effectively just a measure of restriction. And don't forget the aero factor.

24psi on a ls9 engine would lift the heads. Car was running more than 4psi on the 193mph run. Car went 204mph at Mojave mile with 4psi and low 170mph at 1/2 mile.

PSI means pounds per square inch.  No more misconception.

10 psi on my last run 193.5mph. I turned it up for the TT ford gt. This motor has never seen a dyno but my last ls3 made max power at 14psi with 23* timing.  People forget that the rx7 does not need that much power to go fast.

I was way off, thanks for the correction, lol. In reality psi stands for a multitude of things and not just pounds (of force) per square inch.

You're welcome
