Where do you buy all the parts to pass the wires for the new pump. I tried searching but I can't seem to find any.

Awesome, thanks for posting this! I've been running the vette FPR with rubber lines for a while now. So far so good but I've heard of a few instances where there are issues with fuel leaks. Nice with the 10 gauge wire all the way to the pump too. I think this will be my next mod/upgrade. Plus, it looks cool!  :yay:

Ya I ran rubber lines on my LS S14 swap and I had multiple issues with fuel leaking... I didn't want to make the same mistake on the FD.

Great write up! I stumbled on this when trying to figure out how to get the OE Mazda hardline to the fuel rail, and saw that you're running this:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ear-165056erl

It says that the max pressure is supposed to be 50 psi, it's my understanding that the fuel pressure coming out should be around ~60psi or so. Is this something that would cause problems? I don't want to end up blowing off the fitting and dumping fuel into the header area lol.

I was wondering that as well when I first bought it. But then I started looking around and it seemed like they all said 50 psi limit? At least the tube to AN adapters. If you want to do it right by the books then just go with some traditional 90 degree bulkhead fittings or something similar.

I just went with it and I haven't had any problems, but I plan on switching to a fuel cell before too long so that was my excuse to myself.

If it did leak at that fitting it would be in the rear by the gas tank not the headers if that makes you feel any better haha.

why not just continue the line from the fuel filter to the fuel rail? like 13 feet instead of hose-hardline-hose

also what about flaring the lines instead of using a compression fitting?

they are rated at 50 psi so let me know how well the 58 psi handles up to it

thanks rob

Well I have been driving the car for about a month now with this setup with no problems so I guess it handles it fine for now...

Just an update, I got the xrp version of this fitting and gave them a call to ask about this issue. For this sizing they said that 58 psi should be fine, the upper limit of its use is actually around 65-70 psi.

Awesome. Still a little low for my liking, I'd like something at least 100 psi for peace of mind, but it's working how it is
