93 FD Ls2 swap
« on: August 07, 2012, 01:36:27 PM »
Hello peoples, I'm Pat. My dad recently purchased a 93 FD. It is a super clean one owner car. Twin turbo, never modded. Ever. Anyway after drivng it for about a week he decided it was slower than shit. So I talked him into swapping it and here we are.

Our ls2 pullout arrived today, it has 30k miles on it and a t56 trans.

I have ordered the Samberg engine mounting kit, driveshaft and radiator kit, but it will not arrive for another two weeks or so.

So! If you have done this swap before, feel free to post up tips or advice we may need along the way. Any help or comments will be greatly appreciated!

Ever notice that every single pullout has 30k miles on it?

BTW, let me know if you need wiring help.
FC/FD plug and play wiring harnesses, LSx swap AC systems, LSx swap power steering lines.

A few questions: what oil pan will we need to source?

Anyone know what needs to happen to fit the GTO trans in it? (Shifter sits farther back than a fbody t56)

I did this swap myself a few years ago. Feel free to check my gallery (http://www.norotors.com/index.php?action=media;sa=album;in=27) for tons of pics. Also, my advice is to Pez (Greg) for your wiring harness mods. Great guy, and very knowledgable.
