Awesome, love the setup!  Good luck with the stock rx7 trans, I hope it holds up to your future power goals.

Thanks.  From everyone I have talked to about it it will not be an issue for the power I am making.  I make 360ft-lbs at peak tq so the stock trans should be able to hold up to that.  There are plenty of 500-600whp stock trans RX7's around.  I kept the stock trans since it will shift at 9000+ rpm and they are cheap to buy.  I picked up a JDM 5 speed for $250 and that is in the car now.  I will rebuild the one I have and keep it on the shelf for when this one breaks.

After doing Andrew Brilliant's 2G Eclipse time attack car, I've had HEAPS of respect for these engines.  That dyno curve looks great, and having an 'overbuilt' engine is not a terrible thing lol.  I love communities (4G63 and LSx among them) where 500whp is scoffed at lol.

Is your paint a custom mix color? If not could you tell me what it is.

They are great motors.  550-600whp is really the norm on straight pump gas these days.  Its crazy.  We just made 918whp on E85 on my buddys Evo VIII with a PTE6766 turbo and a stock computer..  That car made 600whp@18psi.  Its a beast on the street.  Its got PS, AC, etc.

Hey Bean....how did you center the trans on the adapter plate/flywheel   You can't use a dial indicator on the bellhousing like I planned.   Did you just let the trans center on the pilot bearing and drill your mounting holes?

My machinist did the adapter plate so I am not sure how he did it.  I gave him a block, 6bolt starter plate, and the b2600 bell housing, he took care of the rest.
