Fixed some fuel fittings that were fubar'd. Had 3 Hose ends that were leaking from the flare, ordered replacements installed them and no more leaks.  Wired up the the fans, cleaned up the cluster fuck of wiring in the passenger footwell. Added heat wrap/sleeves to a bunch of wiring in the engine bay. Installed o2's. Made some mounts for the relocated relays/fuse boxes.
Basically did a ton of wiring/ misc loose ends that needed to be done.  Car cranks and fires up but need a base tune because it barely runs.

Random engine bay shot:

Spent WAY too much time trying to do some vinyl wrap on the car.  Have the passenger door, passenger fender and both mirrors.  The mirrors turned out like poop and were exceedingly difficult.  The other stuff looks ok.

Once I get the fixed up tune I hope to drive around a bit and shake the car down, fix whatever bugs pop up.

In other news...

Worked on the never ending list of little odds and ends all day and got to take a victory lap around my neighborhood.  in First time I have driven this car in 3+ years.  Video is just me pulling back into the garage after said lap.

lol, Ryan you enjoying trolling my thread?  The JT meme made me lol.  Also Blake glad to see someone else is in here.

Fixed a charging issue and trans line leak, drove the car a few times.  Also got tags and got the car aligned and filled up the tank with 5 gallons of fuel.  Going to try and put some more miles on the car and make sure nothing else pops up.
Worked on getting the interior put back together, feels like a car again with all the trim panels in place.

Also worked on the wrap for a Long damn time.  I'm not 100% happy with it by any means but o well I can redo the panels I can't stand later down the road.

My passenger side breather seems to spit/puff a good bit might add another draft can instead on the passenger side as well.

Ok, Got the car all ready, drove around on a base tune for a couple of hundred miles and went to then dyno.

On the 3rd pull at ~10psi the driveshaft broke (front joint) and violated the trans tunnel and the bell housing cracked as well.  Lots and Lots of carnage...  I'm not entirely sure what happened to be honest but it was terrible

I hadn't posted any updates because I was waiting on parts, (driveshaft, trans) and it took a very long time to get what was needed and I was really upset with the turn of events.

fast forward a couple months and I have it mostly back together...

Have a new transmission, Jake set me up with a stage 3 for a good price and got it to me in less than a week, can't say enough about the service.  Hopefully it lives a long happy life.

Also making a crossmember/ driveshaft loop to avoid anything coming into the car again.

This was where I left it tonight, need to weld the hoop to the crossmember i made.

I have already fired her up and checked a bunch of little crap but I was waiting to drive it until I made a loop and tended to some little crap.

More as I get to it.

Little bit of headway
Drilled out my subframe connectors to weld in a sleeve so I can bolt this together without it getting crushed.

Welded the hoop onto the crossmember, probly going to add a brace that ties into the hoop a bit higher.

I can only speculate but i think the front of the drive shaft somehow broke or I lost a cup on the front u joint. Either way everything was so mangled by the time the car got shit down it was hard to really have a good idea.

Did a little more,
Added some hood pins

wrapped the hood and hatch:
Hood came out really nice.

Don't have pictures of the hatch but I hit a sang, it turned out ok all things considered.

Sucks about the trans and stuff, I like the vinyl wrapping so far. nice color.

Vinyl looks great!   How hard is that?  I have considering wrapping my MINI in some stupid ass color sometime.

Ehh I am not proficient at wrapping. It has taken a ton of time to do and I'm not done yet. Some shapes are very awkward and difficult depending on the car. If you have time to tinker I'd go for it. For around 700 bucks I was able to buy all the materials needed and some overage for my inevitable blunders. I don't paint so I figured I'd give this a shot. Next project a may try platidip in some color or just break down and pay for paint. After doing the wrap I don't really enjoy it so I probly won't do it again
