To the OP - Very clean car you have there, should be a nice build!

Its pretty obvious but I just wanted to make sure you know the low rise intake also has to be used. Also, using the corvette accessories gives you more room up front.

Copy that, LS1 or LS6 intake needed as truck intake will not fit under the hood.

When you say "Corvette accessories" do you mean f-body accessories as well? rom what I've gathered I'll be able to use the Corvette/f-body water pump along with the truck alternator on f-body accessory brackets.

I'll need the LS1 harmonic balancer too.

Thank you much,

When I say corvette, I mean corvette lol. The corvettes use a different accessory system than the camaro/ta. The alternator is mounted where the power steering pump is and everything hugs the engine more.

And you can't mix and match them. You either have to use all of one, or the other.

Has anyone used the Ronin mounts with their LSX/4L60e/FC swap?

What about header choices for the same set-up?

suprisingly not TOO much needs to be cut for the truck intake.
these are pics of the rough cut, it looks prettier now.

Thank you for the information, but I need to keep everything under my stock hood.

P.S. I hope that's a steel FC hood.  :(

right now the hood is over on the side of the garage with the cuts cleaned and edged, and the car looks just like that, but with the interior pulled out (again)

and yea, stock steel hood. (i made it lighter wohoo!)

I'm also working on a 5.3 (LM7) FC build. We're using a T-56 transmission.

Question: What is the cheapest way to get an exhaust on this thing! We have the stock truck headers, can they be reused?

We plan on going turbo, but want to run the car N/A for a while and sort out all the issues before adding gobs of power. So, we're not really interested in a really efficient exhust, longtubes, etc ... just something quiet enough not to get arrested :)

01/02 LS1/LS6 manifolds flow well and any local exhaust shop can run duals for you.

Will the manifolds fit without having to bang up the engine bay/firewall/transmission tunnel?
