Not aware of any single build that covers every detail, but if you read enough builds, you can pretty well find everything you'd need to know.   :)

LOL.    Got the turbo kit back today and fitted it up.  All good.   Now I need to finalize my "growth points" on it and then have those tig'd up and that's another thing off the list.   Cooling system looks like it's going to fit fine with a few more tweaks, same with the cooling fan.

Got some more of the wiring in the front end sorted out also.    Making good progress, just lots of little details still to do.

Lest Taylor think I'm getting lax on the car, here's the latest progress (small progress, lots of effort):

1.   Cooling fans are figured out.   I was going to use a Taurus fan, but I just can't really fit it well without making servicing the car an SOB, so it will use the Hinson fan as a puller and a second 12" fan as a pusher to cover as much of the radiator as possible.    :)

2.  Air intake to turbo is done and installed with a filter.   It's a snug fit but will clear everything.   I'll take a picture tonight.

3.  Starter is installed along with power from the rear bin to the starter and the starter to the alternator.   I need to hook up the alternator -> fuse box lead and then the car will have power in the chassis again (with the battery in the right place).  If Taylor sends me HVAC controls I can finish testing all Mazda circuits (should be good, but I like to be sure).

4.  Underhood fuel system is done (minus 1 -6 AN plug).   Lingenfelter kit to hold the rails right and adapt LS1 style injectors, fuel crossover, etc.

5.  O2 sensors are installed.

6.  Samberg bumpsteer kit is installed and rough aligned (matched the length of the stock tierod ends that were on the car).

7.  Cleaned up the heater hoses and put grommets on the firewall for them.

8.  Did I mention already that the clutch is in and all the missing bolts on the tranny are in place now.  :)

9.  Mocked up the charge pipes from the turbo and to the throttle body and ordered up the fittings/clamps I'll need for those.    Just need an intercooler and I can get the charge pipes done.  :)    They'll fit nicely I think.

10.  Mocked up upper/lower radiator hoses.   Bottom will be stainless for 95% of it, with silicone couplers on each end, top will be aluminum with about 8" of rubber on each end.   No more of the bendy stainless deal that likes to pop apart under pressure.   :)

11.  Put a belt on it along with the additional pulley for good belt wrap on the water pump.

I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting.    Once the fuel tank and pump get here, I can finish the fuel system, turbo oiling system (purchased those fittings today), put some fluids in the motor and make some noise.    Still a lot of details to sort out, but we're in the home stretch.   This is turning into a pretty nice car.   I'll get some pics soon.   The compare/contrast from where it started to now is rather noticeable.

Digi, your brake lines look fantastic! Did you bend and flare those yourself?

Thanks, and yessir.    About half by hand (well, by knee) and half with an el-cheapo bending tool I bought for nitrous hardlines years ago.   I am really, really anal about hardlines looking nice on cars I work on.

Mostly waiting on parts right now.   I've got a little bit of wiring and some details to finish up this weekend.

Turbo oil feed/drain done, oil filter installed, engine now has oil in it.

Upper radiator hose done/installed.

Lower radiator hose tacked up, just needs finish welded.

Redid the turbo intake, just needs finish welded.

Put the plugs/wires in on the driver's side.

Finished up 95% of the engine bay wiring.

Built the charge piping from the driver's front bumper area up to the intake manifold.   It also has a bung in it for a Sy/Ty threaded IAT.

Mocked up the AST location.   Just need to build a bracket for this and have it TIG'd up.

Got the 12" radiator fan (pusher) and installed it.

FYI, the charge pipe will be wrinkle finished, I just need some paint.  ;)

This weekend I'm planning to get the charge pipe wrinkle finished, wire the radiator fans, get the last of the welding done, the cooling system finished/filled, finish the underhood wiring and finish the interior wiring work.   At that point I'm just waiting on some parts to finish the fuel system, rear diff mounts, rear brakes, and exhaust.   At that point, it should be ready to start/run/drive, which means it can head back to Taylor and I can get going on some more work on my car (and have my garage back!  haha)

Soooo pretty. I'm planning on shipping you some stuff tomorrow. There will be a new set of plugs and wires in there too.

Btw, love the massive air intake.

Sounds good.   Minus the detail work, what you see above should pretty much be what the bay looks like complete.   I don't think there are any more major things to go in place in it.   It's pretty much at the 9.75 lbs of shit in a 5 lbs bag point already.  ;)

I need to message Greg and verify that the VATS is off in the ECU and that it's setup for the 42 lbs injectors, so that I know it can start/run with the ECU that's in it.   I won't really be able to drive it per se, but I can at least let it run and check for coolant/oil leaks.

If I sold him the ECU, then VATS is off. I'll have to look to see if it's set up for 42lb injectors.  I don't have one of the 2 laptops I used to tune with, but I think I have the one with is tune.  I've already bought the credits, so you can send it to me if any changes need to be made.
