Hah, mine is a lot different now to.   Yours is way cooler though.

I'm now a Senior Network Engineer for Frontier Communications.   I basically help oversee, maintain, install and upgrade the corporate network for a large nationwide ISP, as well as specify standards, designs, hardware and train staff.

I work for an IT system integrator/reseller/cloud service provider as a solutions architect.

Basically I sell you IT related infrastructure, services, and try to push you to into the cloud.. so your nude selfies get stolen.

Do you work with a cat named Josh Watts?? I worked with him when I did collections there, cool cat. How is it there? I know it was awful when I was a low level union grunt...I'm just wondering how different things are when you're higher up and not on the service side.

I'm currently doing APS retrieval work (I get medical records) for life insurance purposes. I actually just got a promotion on Friday (W00T) to do Life Marketing Consultant...ie: sell life insurance and make sure everyone has their ass covered.

I'm a medical student.  Before medical school started and I had free time I worked in a synthetic organic chemistry research lab and also did HVAC installs during the summer.

My dad owned his own business and he still had a better schedule and was able to make more of my sporting events ect than I will be able to for my kids, having to work for someone else.  Yes theft, is con but the way I look at it.. my current employer is basically stealing from me by constantly changing the rules to pay me less, and this is the second one to do it.
I will be working more, no doubt about it. But satisfaction working for someone else and trust in "the company" is so low that I maintain it would be infinately more satisfying working for myself.

Usually people say they dont want to start a business because they dont want to lose their stable paychecks at their day job.. well when you dont have those and the same thing has happened to you in 2 seperate companies wrecking your resume.. you dont really have a ton to lose

Quoting my last post from 2011
I'm an entreprenuer now as I had said I wanted to be.
I'm in my second year. First year was like a fairytale, just amazing. year 2 is a BITCH
Now things are so serious and I'm just starting to hire, so it's just me doing everything right now and until I probably get another 3-5 people working for me it's just going to get tougher and tougher.
This is going to suck, but I was right it is infinitely more satisfying
