1988 RX7 GXL (all stock)
« on: June 28, 2011, 10:56:16 PM »
I got this car here local to me from either the 1st or 2nd owner. (I don't remember which) It is all stock and other than having an old school Miami Vice car phone (I removed it) it is original right down to the factory stereo.  The story behind it is the compression was even but low, so after not starting at the grocery store one day the previous owner had it towed home and put it away in the garage for 13 YEARS..... until he finally decided he wanted his garage spot back.  That is when I found it.  This car has one of the nicest condition interiors I have ever seen and the exterior is well above average as well.  I pretty much bought the car because I couldn't stand to not have it.  I have toyed with the idea of doing a nice basic 5.3/4l60e swap but I have pretty much had it with messing with these cars and decided to sell it.  It is sitting in a storage shed right now that I want to get rid of and its pretty much the only thing stopping me.

I was able to get the car to run and drive but the motor is not in very good shape.  It appears to have blown coolant seals because it tries to push coolant when it gets hot.  All the lights, wipers, switches, buttons, etc work.  That is pretty rare for an FC all by itself.

Comes with a free Nor Otor!

I have all kinds of swap parts I would be willing to work out some kind of deal on if someone wants to go that path... If you have any interest feel free to message me and we can talk in more detail.

$800 FIRM

Off topic: so you are getting out of the RX-7 game completely? Or just all the extra parts?

Off topic 2: have LS6 intake for sale??

Until this morning I was about to dump everything I have and say hell with it all.  Believe it or not, the fiancee told me not to do that, and that I would miss my car when it was gone.  I was stunned.  So with that in mind everything but my own car and required parts is going to go.

I can vouch for the cleanliness of this ride! I asked about the interior a while back and he told me NO WAY

That's the plan, doing it clean and right the first time. I think it's gonna be a blast
