@kiyul4130

Pardon looks like I missed a response...

To your questions:
1) Circ clips are the blind install spring clips, not the full up have c-clips some axles use.  The live on the tip of the stub axles inside the spider gears.
2) Ratios, looks like you might be right.  Summit carries 10 options in 3.08 gears but if you find taller it may be an unsual application.
3) 06-07 is fine.  Only thing to watch for is that 06 is a transition year and some used the 02-05 style diffs with the single front mount.  For your application I'd recommend the double mount.  I also assume your ARB will be fine in any year 06-10.
4) I did finally track down the correct seal to let you use cobra style input shafts in an explorer housing.  Woot!  Customer came through for us...  Napa p/n 16406

5) You lost me on which direction you have and need and I'm not sure if driver or passenger drop transfer cases make a difference.  That said, I agree portals typically reverse normal operation and dramatically reduce halfshaft loads, so clearly you're thinking about this and will get it nailed.

@tak209

No deals running at present.  To be honest we rarely offer deals since they're a bit of a pain to operate and enforce.  The basic Ronin business model is to offer the best possible goods at fair prices and call it a day.  Hopefully the added $65 shipping the holiday sale might have saved you isn't a deal breaker.   Last year's holiday free shipping was the first time we've ever done something site wide.

Does anyone have the 8.8 diff laying around that can measure the face/width like this or know off hand what the width is? Im curious what it is on the Ford Explorer. Thanks for any help again. Pictured below is not an 8.8.

Anyone ever figure out if Suretrack # FD8170 (left) and the Suretrack # FD8169 (right) inner subs will work?  I'm trying to cancel the damned cardone ones.  Rock auto says shipped on a Sunday... Ordered 2hrs ago... FML.

Another question, are the inner stubs identical between sides?  Could I just order two of one side?

The apwi do NOT work. Same issue as the cardone. Wrong splines on the tripods.

Anyone know where to get the trilobal adapters for the CV boots? The empi boots Ronin provided needs them and my axles had them but they were all torn up.

Thanks,

Patrick

Edit 1: I ordered my driveshaft last week. It measured 37.2" or 945mm from pinion flange to seal end. This is a little shorter than others have seen and I'm not 100% sure why but it's obviously critical to measure on your own car with the diff mounted in your car. It's from Drivetrain Specialists of Texas. ~$530 for a 3.5" aluminum tube, billet yoke and aluminum flange with 1350 spicer joints.

Edit 2: This is for Ronin as well. I'll update here with a proper cv boot for the inner from empi. I have two possibilities on the way.

The closest I've found for a CV boot without the FORD rubber ring is  EMPI 86-2321D. It's from 90's Toyota trucks. It's not perfect on the big end but close enough that filling in the gaps with black rtv seals well enough. Just don't clamp it down until it's fully cured. I've had the axles up to 300+kph on the Dyno with no issues. Diff puked a little though.
