« on: June 05, 2011, 03:50:17 AM »
Ok guys, I have come to the conclusion that I want to sell the RX7 so here are the details.

1986 Mazda RX7
152k miles on Chassis
146k miles on Cluster
Clear Title (brown because filed for lost title)

Engine
1998 Camaro SS LS1 (6k miles on it after rebuild)
Mahle 9.5:1
Eagle I-Beam Rods
Comp Cams Xtreme 269HR
ACL Bearings
98' OEM Heads - Springs, Hardened Pushrods
5.3 Coil Packs (the ones that apparently produce hotter spark)
MSD Wires

Drivetrain
1998 Camaro T56 (2,000-2,500 miles on it after rebuild)
Built (only thing not upgraded was Shift Forks, but has new OEM SF)
ACT HDSS Clutch (2,000-2,500 miles)
Turbo II Rear End (ARP Lug Studs on rear)
New Slave Cylinder and Hinson Clutch Line (400 miles on it)

Suspension
Factory Suspension or Autozone Replacement (front is good, rear might be blown)
5 Lug Swap

Brakes
TII 4 Pot Fronts
TII rear

Exhaust
Hinson Stainless Works Mid-Length Headers
Custom 2.5" piping
Mac Prochamber H-Box
Dual HKS Hi-Power 3" Mufflers

Swap Kit
Complete Kit from Hinson Motorsports
Race Fuel System
Race Coolant System

Gauges
Pro-Sport Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Water Temp
AEM UEGO AFR
Pro-Sport Digital Tach w/ Shift Light (not installed)

Interior
No carpet
Sound deadening mostly removed (got lazy and stopped messing with it)
No headliner
No Plastics
Dash is in good condition

Exterior
Factory paint (definitely needs repaint for hood, rear bumper, roof, front bumper is a different color)
Rest of the car would look good with a buff job
Has door dings

Pros
Car runs great but alittle rich, so it will need a retune. (uses HP Tuners)
Gas Tank is coated on the inside to prevent rust (lifetime warranty)
Built Engine & Trans

Cons
Wiring harness was done by Hinson (friend wired it all in, could go thru it to clean it up but it all works)
Exhaust is all Welded together (no shops around here would flange it for me)
Driving lights for the rear are wired up to a switch (needs to be rewired)

Extras that can come with the car or be taken off the deal to lower the price

300zx TT Wheels F&R 16" (Chrome, no tires)
2 Cragar Soft 8 17x9 Wheels (Nexen N3000 275/40)
Kazera Wheels 17" (225/45 tires in good condition)
Leather Seats
NA RX7 Rear End w/ Axles
S4 Convertible Lights
2 S4 ECU's (1 turbo, 1 non-turbo)
Box of Random S4 Parts
Door Panels (1 set cloth, 1 set leather)
Holset HX52 Turbo (1,500-2,000 miles on it)
McLeod Twin Disc Clutch (needs rebuild)

I'm sure I am forgetting alot of stuff as it took me over 2 years to get everything put together for this car.

Price is $12,000 OBO
Interested in trades whether you have greater, equal or less value than what I am asking. Greater values would prefer to be $2,000 max above my value.
I could honestly trade for anything, but believe I have my mind set on a VW Golf TDI. Don't be afraid to PM or post as the most I can do is say no.

I will update this thread within the next day or two with more pictures & videos of the car. As for any questions, just give me a PM or post on the threat and I will respond ASAP.

EDIT

New video taken June-5-2011

EDIT June 9th

T56 has a Pro 5.0 Shifter
Forgot to mention that it had a New OEM Waterpump installed during the swap, 6,000 miles on it.
Also the Alternator was changed for a new one, 2,000-2,500 on it. Changed right after the transmission was built.

Have to start a price somewhere lol.

Thanks for your opinion, it is always best to know what other people think it is worth vs. yourself.

Nice car man. I paid $5,200 for mine in similar condition and with a similar build, but the tranny and motor have a questionable amount of miles on them, which definitely counts for something IMO. Good luck with the sale!

Thanks.

Hoping that this will go to someone who will freshen everything up as I had originally planned.
