For $13.5k, this jdm sw20 was very affordable jdmgoodness

Still want an fd overall, but it was only $13,500, I estimated a turnkey reliable (preferably blue) 9/10 condition fd of similar vintage would be 3x the cost, how could I pass?

Looks great!   I’m not sure why MR2s are still cheap-ish.   I don’t think that will last long!

I believe the zenki models are cheap because they suffer from horrible snap oversteer problems.

Im.not saying the mr2 is better than an fd...i am saying an fd owner probably would like driving an mr2 turbo almost as much as they do the fd. It doesnt come with as good of technology and suspensions, build materials as the  higher end jdms of the era, but makes up for it with being pretty light, and a good weight distribution and strong torquey motor and good manufacture. The transmission is bulletproof too i might add.
