Fits much better with the Samberg kit and no oil filter relocator kit needed.  The car is on jack stands so the pics are at odd angles.

Serialnine placement with LS3, Samberg kit, with CD009.

AEM wiring harness installed.  Make sure you start from inside the car to push the harness through.  I wired the engine bay first and realized I couldn't fit the harness through the firewall.

My friend is working on the radiator bracket and transmission bracket.  Unfortunately it doesn't look like the stock fan will fit so I will need to purchase some Spal fans.

Good progress so far!

Weird, It looks like you got only the sikky billet pedestals. My sikky kit came complete with mount plates that sandwich in between the frame rails and subframe, oil pan, and oil lines. Also, the sikky kit places the engine back further than any other kit I've seen. You have to trim the firewall lip and bash the firewall to get it to fit. My GTO T56 shifter fit perfectly centered in the shifter hole with no adapters. It does sit slightly higher, but still clears the stock hood with only minor trimming to the webbing/brace, and leaves the steering rack in factory location, so no bump steer kit is required! Either way, good work! You'll love the car!

My friend didn't like the offset of the SerialNine adapter so I ended up with this.  Had to do a bit of grinding but it's solid.  Working on the mounts for the radiator this weekend woot!.  In the sixties both Sat and Sun.

You're going to want a REALLY tall rear for the CD009 trans.

I am using 3.55 as that's what came with the rear diff I purchased.  Calculations are at 7000rpm with 25" tires with 3.55, 3.08, and 2.73 gears.  I used some online gear ration calculator and got the following.  3.08 or 2.73 would probably be much better for a daily driver but I have to work with what I have for now.

Also check the math for your freeway speeds in 6th. A V8 at 2800RPM at 65MPH can get annoying quick.

I am getting 2400rpm using this calculator.  https://spicerparts.com/calculators/transmission-ratio-rpm-calculator.  I am going to run 275/35/18.

Radiator shroud completed.

Serial9 shifter.

Battery located behind the passenger.

Friend is fabricating a transmission mount.  Not yet completed.

For the transmission mount you don't want to use the factory brace mount locations as they are tack welded in place.... They will rip out over time and be a major PITA to fix.... so just design the mount to sandwich a backing plate to bolt to on the transmission tunnel/floor INSIDE the car.  No more headaches.

Thanks for the info.  That could've been a pain to repair.

Message Samberg he has some transmission mounts leftover.   My old car I had the Hinson style trans mount that attached to those points from the stock mount and I ripped them completely out on a hard launch!  The in the trans tunnel sandwich style is the way to go.

Ditto on the mount. The tubular one you're making looks robust, but will leave little room for exhaust.

Buy a samberg one  :D

That is an interesting radiator angle.  Is that the Fbody oil pan?    Great to see progress!

Where does the Samberg transmission mount connect on the transmission?  I am using a CD009, does that matter?

Kinger, yes on the Fbody oil pan.
