The wheels are custom FD spec CCW Classic Race version. They are 18x11 et 38. I cut and welded my rear arches significantly to fit these wheels. See my first or second page of this thread. I get minor rubbing on the 335's at the Shine over fenders, but only because the car is so low, and I'm not running a huge amount of negative camber (I think -1.9*, right within factory specs if I remember correctly).

I know ill have to raise the car a decent amount for the new 325/50R15's and the Welds. I'm hoping the less aggressive fitment/width will help me. Tires arriving today. Time will tell. New dyno numbers and more pics/videos coming soon. Stay tuned.

I am on coilovers so I could raise up the rear some.  I haven't put my rear fender overs on yet, I just rolled/pulled my rears for the 18x10.5 +22 w/ 295/30s to fit and they work well even with the car slammed.  I am planning on cutting my fenders out when I do the wide over fenders.  Down the road id like to go down to maybe a 17 with some meat

Updates. The car is for sale, but I’m continuing to improve and make faster. Peeled all of the Plastidip off of the car. Prepping to paint the car myself using Eastwood single stage paint and clear over top. Finally got the Welds test fitted with these HUGE Nitto Nt555R tires.

Wheels are Medium Pad 15”x10.3” with 6.5” backspacing.
Tires are Nitto Nt555R 325/50R15. For some reason these are wider than the exact same tire in 335/30R18. Interesting. They barely fit, to the point that I had to raise the coil overs about 3/4” and trim more of the fender arches in the front, both from the Chassis and the Over fenders. Onto the pics

Before raising and trimming. You can see the pencil outline where I wanted to trim

After trimming the fat. I cleaned the arch up more so it’s more rounderer

Im waiting on the next nice weather weekend to tape and spray the car. Results to come!

God damn somehow ive been sleeping on this build thread. another bad ass Fd local to me and never even knew it. hate to see you sell this thing. but am also anxious to see you build a silverado next, since i also have a standard cab short bed that i kick around the idea of slapping a turbo on.

Love the build man, I actually read this thread a couple times. Nice to have some one semi close that basically built the same setup I'm trying to do.
I'm sure we will talk more. You got a IG or FB?

Unfortunately I sold the car back in May of 2020. I towed it all the way from Maryland down to South Carolina. The guy who bought it was super cool and was planning on dumping a bunch more money into it.

The car was basically built to take to the drag strip and do weekend cruises with. After completing it, it was more of a handful on the street than I anticipated, and my local drag strip was already in a bad way, and due to COVID, it closed down. That track was only 20 minutes from my house, which was awesome. Now the closest track is over an hour away. I have another "toy" (R33 skyline GTST) that makes 600-700whp and doesn't feel likes its going to kill me every time I drive it. I love this site, and I'm still in the market for a clean FD that has a basic/streetable LS build. Either that or I'm on the hunt for a FD/FC shell to put a K24 turbo swap into.  :secret:
