Got my new (to me) car!
« on: February 08, 2017, 10:28:51 AM »
Picked up a 2009 Nissan 370z over the weekend. Bused out to KC and drove it back to st.louis. Love this car. Going to build up suspension and leave the engine alone for now. Haven't decided what to do about it. Can't decide if I want to build up the VQ37 (which has been a lot of fun to drive) or try and swap it down the line. Sweet!

I have a friend who's working on getting a 2014 370z nismo from a dealership as we speak. 16k miles. They want like mid 20k for it which seems like a good price to me.

That is a good price for a low mile Nismo. I wish him luck in that!

Dude thats awesome. How's he liking the nismo? I added a short throw shifter to mine. I'll need to go back in and trim the lock out on it though. I have to push the shifter in a bit to get to 5th. Looking into some exhaust and suspension. Found some Long tube headers I want.

He loves it. sure is a nice little car and I'm surprised how peppy it is. It has drag radials on it and it's almost a necessity.

I sold my 40th Anniversary 370Z so I could get my FD.  The car and The370Z.com forum are great.  Greatest thing about the car is you can beat up on it all day long with no worries.  Needs an Oil Cooler ASAP if he plans on doing any track days or hard driving.  He will wish he had got a Sport Package.

I o wish I had the sport package but I still love this damn car so much. She needs grippy tires. The 245 all season tires in the back do nothing but spin all day and then the stock diff just wants to slid the back end to the right. But I can sense the potential in this car if the power could just get to the road. I remember thinking about swapped it before I drove it but now I really want to play with the VQ in it. There's apparently a group buy for a wavetrack lsd on the370z forum. Interested in seeing what the discounts are for the levels. Would be nice to lock up when putting power down.
