« on: December 01, 2015, 11:55:04 PM »
Im getting rid of the AC and the obvious stuff under the hood has been removed.
Now that i have the dash removed, i was wondering if there were any connectors/ motors/ etc that could be removed thats AC related. Im keeping the heater BTW

I don't plan to run a/c either.... what is needed to effectively keep the heat.... but delete the a/c system?

This is for an FC but the pictures above FD are very similar.  The A/C unit is centered in the second picture.
On a non A/C   FC there is a bypass tube from the blower unit (right side) and the heater box in the center.  It uses the same mounting clamps as the evaporator.  Not sure on the electrical side.
If the FD was available without A/C get the tube and install.

It looks possible to gut the A/C box on the FD.

I deleted the AC system from my FD. Its rather easy and fully reversible. You simply pull out the AC module of the Air system. Its sandwiched in a stack next the the heater. Mazda produces a plastic section that replaces the missing unit to channel the air as it used to be. Available from Ray Crowe or Mazda Racing.

Not much else to pull from the inside of the car.
