My MT 275/60's were considerably narrower than my 28/10 Hoosiers in both tread and sidewall.

What size rim ???

8 and 10 inch (not on my RX7 on my other drag car), most notably on the 8".  These were the original MT ET Street Drag Radials (with the sipes down both sides) though, not the newer Pros.  My Hoosiers had about 10.25" tread, whereas the MT's were maybe 9.5" in the 275/60.  I had close to an inch difference in section width, too.  I had about 1/2" clearance with the MT on an 8" wheel, but was rubbing the frame rail with the Hoosier until I went to a 10" wheel.  I would also rub the fender a bit on the driver's side in turns or unloading off the trailer, but did not with the Hoosier radials.

Big difference between the 2. Here is a 275 on a 8 and a 10" rim.

I never hooked on the old 275 MT's.  Think I got a bad batch.  I went from annihilating the tires at the hit to carrying the front end 2 feet off the ground with no other changes than going to the 28x10 Hoosiers.
