appreciate it. Wish we were up and going already but the shop wont be finish built till Jan 1st. Kind of working out anyway, had a late hail storm this year so I'll be in St. Louis for probably a few weeks working.

Now to find me a good deal on a 2 post lift, metal brake, press, horizontal bandsaw and some other goodies...

That sucks on the brakes since there are little things they could have done to make a snoother install.

Congrats on getting a shop going too thats something I have always thought about but don't have the time or cash to do

The shop itself isn't too bad. $750 for 1500 sq feet. Its just the lift, fab tools, nickle and dime expenses etc. I had some money saved up from working my ass off this year but can't buy a house until I have 2 years of self employment taxes or a huge down payment. So figured this was something I've always wanted to do, as well as a possible good investment.

-40F=-40C It is the crossover of both.

I used to work in communications, and we had two test chambers where we ran radios from +60c to -40c.
In summertime whenever I'd open the door the humidity would create a little blizzard inside.  (Was fun hitting co-workers with a snowball when it's 95f outside. LOL)

-40 is just plain PAINFUL.   :'(  I don't care to go anywhere it gets that damn cold.   :o

Pretty much.  I did cold start cal work for diesels and would basically be in a large drive-in freezer twice a day at ~-20C or colder.  Weird when you find the point that the seat foam doesn't cushion anymore, haha.

lmao yes the wind chills got that bad in spots. Lowest temp I saw in the daily was -10 I think. Was probably barely above freezing in the garage. Got it to start, took awhile. Then noticed oil pressure was really low and shut it off. Probably something about having 20w-50 in it lol.

I definitely follow your build. Where did you get the weight from?

Did you ever find out?

I finally did weigh it. 2700lbs with the added 60 lbs of concrete in the rear bumper and turbo stuff etc. Almost no weight reduction done.

Update: Bought some stuff to make coolant hard pipes, new heat wrap and some other little stuff but haven't touched it besides cruising it a bit.

Went and bought a '99 Corvette. Now I probably really wont touch the rx7 for awhile. H/C/I for the vette later this year. Already has full LG exhaust. Trying to put down 400-420whp in it and clean some things up, then I'll probably start on the RX7 again, and it'll be going a bit more full racecar  :yay:
