i see what you mean, but this forun is full of handbuilt hiperformance cars .now thats not always a by word for bomb proof reliability and expert craftmanship. However I feel he would be VERY lucky to swap for an FC. As for my car that like comparing Lennox Lewis to Lisa Simpson. There isnt a car in my price range that i would trade my car for. Especially a four cylinder roadster.
The point I was trying to make initially with the trade wasn't that it is a better car, a more enjoyable car, or for you to keep it.  My point was S2k's can be very easy to sell, while the market for swapped Rx8's is fairly limited.   Like ncaudio said above, those cars can pull good money, and quickly.

If it financially made sense, ie. the numbers worked, and it was an easy/convenient title swap, it might have not been the awful trade you made it out to be.  It could have been an easy way to get your car a new home, and give you something more easily sold.   But I will reiterate, that is all dependent on the specific car in question. If it was a piece of shit, then this is all moot.

as i said before a yellow 2001 S2000 with 160k and stockaside from a catback. to which yall responded that it was worth it. i understand your poiky and if someone offered a trade where i can just take it to carmax and dump it, then id probably do it. but in that case why wouldnt the prospective owner just do it himself.

Hey man, what I read was this:
and tens econds after you hang up itw ill explode. i had a guy with a yellow 01 S2000 dead set thinking his car wasa. fair straight trade for my RX8. cracks a hell of a drug
the point Spec c and I were making is that a LOW Mile S2K could be worth more that you might have thought they are worth, that doesn't mean We'all told you to trade your car for a S2000 that was just clarified to have 160,000 miles on it. Just trying to get along with everyone.

This site is always good for a laugh. A 15k kbb s2k is worth at best a mediocre complete FD swap. All sorted they are north of 20k. Plus the s2k is a limited market. Must be of average height to own one. I sat in one at 6'3" and was completely unable to fit. Knee wedged against the dash (painfully) covering the start button. Could only actuate the pedals by rotating the foot at the ankle. Makes the FD feel huge inside lol.

If the OP is after a project car then it's absolutely a fair trade. If you can find the right FD owner. Sorted out FD will demand car + cash.

elctron50, don't give up yet, you should at least go for a ride in one to see if you like it.
