Why does everyone who damages the inner fenders on a c5 vette immediately replace them?
what do they protect? (I obviously havent pulled mine yet)
reason i ask is because i came across some 315/680/18 tires which fit nicely over my new set of 18x10.5 Z06 wheels...
They should be around 26.5" tall, where the street tires I'm currently running are 25.4"/26.1" front 265/40/17, rear 295/35/18, and the previous track tires I was running were 25.5"tall 275/35/18 all around.
Obviously these are a lot wider and an inch taller.
the first thing that has to happen is the inner fenders have to go away (front)
does anyone know if there's important bits that need to be protected behind those?
I don't want to cut this vette up too much, it's still kinda nice (for me at least)
