It is was a 370 with 1.80 glide and 3.27 with 27.5" tires

PTC 9.5 converter

People who say glides or suck on the street have never rode in one setup right with some gear and a tight converter on a turbo setup.

The car goes down the road very nice. And it stands up

Ever have any over heating issues on the street?

Th400 is great. Its a rossler T2 with reverse manual valve body and Trans brake. Never had an over heating issue, i run the largest B&m cooler they have without a fan.

Have a 4l80 in my fd, fits fine.  only thing that I had to clearance was making room around the electrical pigtail connector on the side of the trans.  It fits without beating the chassis a bit but you can't unplug/plug it back in without adding some clearance.  That being said its a big heavy bastard. I have a single 3.5" exhaust. may have been able to fit a 4" with a different trans crossmember.
I have a beefed up powerglide sitting in the garage that i sometimes consider throwing in, but for what I'm using the car for, for now I won't give up my lock up and being able to throw it in drive.
Glides are more economical and a hell of alot easier to rebuild/service.
with a turbo car you could run low gears to make up for the freeway rpm, even lower than 3.27 if you wanted. May give up some et but its will still move.

Awesome. I think I'm gonna run the th400 with 3.27 gears. 70 mph at 3k rpm is perfect for what I want. Now just gotta figure out the rear. Either 9" or 8.8

8.8 all the way in my book. Its lighter and takes less power to turn. If you had a heavy car and were planning on making over 1000hp i would say 9''.

I have a ford 8.8. 35 spline gun drilled axles, spool, 9" ends etc etc and it is BEEFY!!

Are you asking about transmission heat or engine?

No issues with trans fluid temp. I have the largest b&m cooler with fan/thermo switch remote mounted.  Turns on at 190* fluid temp

I can make high power hits, fan comes on. Couple miles down the road fan is off again

zack how is it for roll racing..... Iam kinda thinking about a glide when I go turbo instead of keeping my TH400

I dunno it gets down IMO. Vbox data says so too if you compare it to other rwd stuff out there on the street
8.50/165

I kind of regret not going glide, but with a 2.8 with big cams, I think I'll need all the gearing I can get to help me on the street. Should have the 400 in by April or May. Planning on 3.55's out back.

3.55 with my th400 is perfect for what I do and my power level (600-650 depending on the nitrous pill i use) . If i was turbo i would 100% go with 3.27 though.
