My old go kart rebuild ! suggestions welcome
« on: June 17, 2015, 09:52:13 PM »
So the other day I went to my dads farm was digging around for some stuff in the shed stumbled across the old go kart I used to ride in as a kid ! So I brought it home and tore it down. Shockingly everything is in great shape for the age however the motor is missing...... What do you guys think would be a nice suitable/fun size motor for this? I was looking into Hondas 20 horse or 25 horse GX Series motors. I'm not sure that would haul me around (I'm 245#'s by the way) when i used to drive it it had a 7 horse and was pretty slow. I also have no idea about the gearing in itI would like it to go 40 mph at the minimum  :drive:. any other cool ideas toss them my way !/Users/Nick/Desktop/Screenshot_2015-06-17-20-42-09-1.jpg
