On a positive note I like the black header paint on the ceramic coated headers.

Trans and torque converter sorted, had to have the CFDF fixed a few weeks ago due to a failed glue joint, then made it to the dyno today.

Dyno was weird with the stall.  Made 426rwhp on motor and 542 on spray using nitrous jets that made about 160 rwhp with the old 6-speed ... stall at work I guess.  The progressive controller worked well, the hit was soft so no issues with traction on the dyno like we had with the 6-speed.  The auto kept wanting to downshift out of third(sounds like all hell breakin loose :o) so our pulls started at around 5k rpm.

Will post times when I get it to the track, havin a  :chug:

I'm down for a vid of the 1/4mile passes on motor & n2o.  Dyno vids are a dime a dozen for such a mild build as this.

Hoping to be at the Supra nats, may run in the street competition and make a 60-130 pass  :drive:

Haven't bumped this thread in forever.

Enjoying driving the car now that we have the idle nailed down, finally took it back to the tuner for a tweak, too many other priorities so the 7 had been getting very little attention the past couple of years.  With the last idle tweak the car sounds amazing, hate the thought of turbo'g the car and losing this exhaust sound but that's the next temptation if we go for more powa.  The auto trans has been fully sorted for some time now, last yr I swapped in a new valve body from the trans builder after many less than successful attempts adjusting things to get consistent shifts before hitting the rev limiter.  Now the trans will drive like miss daisy when cruising, leave it in D and it drives so smooth you cannot feel the shifts, 4k PI stall at work.  Row the gears manually and the trans will upshift instantly when the next gear is commanded, no more rev limiter spoiling the party.  Nitrous system working spot on, this spring it will be time to see if the old drag radials can get some traction, last time out with the car shifting right it was spin city but track prep at Sealy was pathetic, hoping prep for supra nats will be better.  Swapped in a walbro485 E85 pump in lieu of the 044 and a Fore FPR, with a clean fuel filter the fuel pressure is solid on spray without having to crank up the voltage with the BAP like the 044 required.  The walbro is so small tho, hard to imagine it flowing this much fuel (jeep turbo build is getting 3 of these walbros intank).

Should hit the 1/4 mile at Supra Nats in Houston this year.  Hope to have the turbo Jeep SRT8 at the event as well, shooting for 4digit power to all 4 tires on the Jeep.   Maybe this year I'll see and meet some travelling V8 rx7's at the track, last yr we did see one rx7 at the event but never saw it run at the track and never met the owner.  Lots of folks come to town to street race during the event weekend, 1/4 mile track day is mostly a GTR event the past couple of years.
