Wait wait wait.. What if the unbeatable car has ProEfi??

Then it will have excellent traction control.

An actual fast street car will launch with a lot of wheel speed and some tire slippage though.   If you need traction control, you don't have enough suspension setup.

You're right you've gotta blacktrack the whole way.  I'd imagine you can set traction control to do that though...right?  Is it set up by percentage of slip?

Yeah, it does, but traction control is ALWAYS a crutch.  Don't get me wrong, if I was running money races on the street, I'd use it every damn time.   But if you want as close to a perfect run as possible, traction control shouldn't be sticking its nose in any.

If there's a street car challenge, please invite underground racing and have them bring their 2000+ hp twin turbo gallardo's. Always fun to watch!

I completely disagree with your #1 rule. The one and only rule of a street car is can you keep the engine cool in street driving conditions, ie stop and go traffic on a 90* day. Anything else is free game.

That being said, to conform to what you said, give me a fox chassis with a stock suspended 9", a twin turbo hemi on alcohol, a powerglide, and an AMS2000, and you've got an unbeatable street car.

YouTube no prep drag races. Plenty of people with a well sorted suspension leaning on the boost controller running 7s

The Volvo vs FD street drag video will have a different outcome shortly.  Volvo is turbo LS with auto trans.  FD was T56 and turbo LS that ran low 9's..... soon to be powerglide.

A fast street car runs 9's......  a really fast one does mid 8's..... beyond that.... and most are trailered like everyone says.

If money is no object a fully built Awd car is hard to beat for consistency on the street.  GTR's simply cost too much to modify and initial cost of entry.

That was kinda more point with the GTR.   Pull up on any given street and go run and you'll have an easier time with AWD than you will with RWD.   Get somewhere sticky and RWD is always king.

Yeah if I thought things through rule #3 would be rwd only.

The rules btw are just arbitrary based on what I find interesting and relevant.  My thread  :punch:
