Meh.  I like this build because it's different, but if you want to throw a hissy fit, this isn't the place for ya.   Peace out homie.

I don't think you should stop documenting your build here....although, I must say, the butt-hurt is strong with you if you do decide to get out....wheres the lead at man? Bubble gum welds? That was funny. Come on guys, just ask those jingles back from your wives before you log on to norotors! Everything will be ok....I promise.<<<sig worthy, haha!

Yeah don't go away because we were slightly rude. Technically we are just some random sentences on a computer screen. However if you're gonna turn tail and quit then good riddance. This isn't a forum where people stroke your ego and rub your back. We are a group of hot headed warriors who rip the hearts out of........well cars. I was kinda hoping to see if you could make good on your title. A badass car that can kill a Prius in everything? Hell I'd buy one from ya. I'll do the welding though.

If you cant take the critics, I really don't know how you plan to be an innovator.

Wow. This build thread tanked with a quickness. I was really hoping to see it finished. I think he was on to something, as far as building something different, that would be fun to drive. As well as get decent MPG at the same time. Hopefully, someone does another light-ish weight V6 swap into an SA/FB, hopefully turbocharged. Maybe a Grand National, Grand National-esque, or Syclone swap? I think with the right tuning, turbo selection, it could be a fun, efficient, unique swap.

I doubt a turbo 6 would be dramatically more efficient than an 8 in these light cars.   I bet a 5.3L setup in this, built with efficiency in mind, could get up near/over 40 mpg cruise.   Even with 325 wheel HP, in a car weighing <2600 with driver, would be a lot of fun.  If you wanna go nuts, get one with DoD on it and let it be a 4 when it wants.
