So I'm going to assume spring is here with the 60* temps today (well near) and the 70s we might see this week, so I'd like to ask a favor of some locals and get a ride in a few V8 RX7s.

The goal of the car for me, would basically make it a fun well rounded car, I want something that is fun to drive, comfortable and makes a bit of power, the wife approved the purchase of one so I want to make sure that it is still something I want.

Competition for the V8 FD would be a C6, GT500, BMW 335i so far, but to be honest i've had my eyes on a FD for years (2006) and instantly wanted an LS based motor in one.

I hope you get some takers on that.  Nothing wrong at all with a LSx FD.  To expand your horizons there are a few members here with some decent Bimmer rides.  LSx powered  Big block quad, Shakenbake and the BMW powered JParker mega-horse turbo.  There are others for sure but those guys come to mind.

My whipple charged bimmer is running but I haven't hit the road with it yet.  I'm not even close to those guys being several hundred horsepower short of what they're putting down.

Give Accuracy001 a shout.  He's in Wisconsin. A primo ride and may have been a car of the month, don't remember.  Take a look at the car of the month rides and they will blow you away.  Pete's car and Mike Finney's (Finata) car will absolutely astound you.  And, there are many others.

I currently have a 2002 330i sedan, that I keep getting bad ideas of swapping in an LSx, I love driving it just needs more power.

Hopefully I can get a hold of those guys and get some rides.

I am in S Minneapolis, and am in the process of purchasing an FC with a 5.3 lm7.  Should be picking it up sometime early next month.  It's not an FD, but if you were still interested we could work something out.
