the shrouding is kinda the only thing i would be worried about. They might pull more but you want it to be pulling straight through the radiator and not pulling from just all over the place or push for that matter. The electric taurus has a shroud and is pretty power full. I find them all the time at junk yards for 20-30, then get your self a volvo 2speed relay for another 20-30 and your all set.

EDIT: Just remembered its a sbc not a ls1, the volvo relay wont work but there are plenty of dual speed controlers that will with a probe. Hell autozone i think has one thats not horrible and usualy in stock.

it will work, i've got an sbc with a volvo fan and relay wired to a switch, cost next to nothing from you pull and pay, keeps my engine cool no problem, itd be nice to have an auto setting but if budgets tight just turn on low speed and youll be fine, high speed for the really hot days. glad to see the 4x4 status is going away now that theres a motor in there lol. keep it up!

A temperature switch is only like 30 bucks from summit, automatically grounds when the motor hits a certain temperature and installs in the head. I've got two controlling the taurus fan in my sbc FC.

^ Thanks guys about the volvo relays with tarus fan. For now... I want the Old School look and function. I'm gonna run as much mechanical parts as possible. examples: mechanical fuel pump, mechanical fan, no power steering, no a/c , no heat, carbureted (no ecu). So im ordering a 15inch flex fan and see how cool she stays.

Haha whatever makes you happy man, I'm the total opposite. If i could control everything in the car with a touch screen i would.

I like how mean the front end looks now  :D  I'm leaving all holes open for air flow except below flip ups I will have headlights. Leaving flip-up holes open for "rough look" and air flow.
