fd soild rear axle?

Tried to contact hinson but no reply about their soild rear for a fd. Any one know of a company that sells one?

The only off the shelf is Hinson.    Most competent fab shops could handle it though.

I asked Hinson a bunch of times for pics of their setup.... never transpired.  They also want to sell you a brand new Moser rear end which is $3K from the get go without mounting parts.  You will probably be into it for $5K when you are done going this method.

If you took the car to a competent chassis shop and dropped off an Explorer 8.8" solid rear (factory 31 spline axles, LSD, 3:73's and disc brakes) for them to use.... you would end up with a nice result.  I bought a solid Explorer rear end complete for under $200 and plan to go this route with my other FD.
