Intercooler sizing

Couldnt find exactly the information I wanted over on the club. Maybe someone here might have good information here. Max sizes you can fit on the FD? Tank to tank and seems like 12-14 inches tall is where ive seen most stop. Thanks.

Har Har Should have included that I don't have a bumper. I ended up buying a 12.5x22x4.5 treadstone fmic. Still waiting on a bumper

12x24 cores (such that the total width with tanks ends up in the 30-32" area) or somewhere close to that size seem to work pretty well in 3rd gen RX7s.  I wouldn't go any taller than 12" on the core, and in fact a little shorter is fine.  I've built a lot of intercoolers for these cars.

Tracy what's your feeling on downflow vs crossflow intercoolers on low-pressure, high CFM boosted applications like a 10psi LSx?
