MMR subframe and differential bushings - UHMW?
« on: March 18, 2012, 02:18:55 PM »
Maybe I'm missing the link but I'm looking at replacing the bushings in my Turbo II subframe and the differential mounts with MMR pieces but I can't seem to find their delrin versions. All I can see on their site is the UHMW ones. I was also thinking about the MazdaComp front mount from Mazdatrix.

I've heard mixed things about MMR and would like some advice as the best place to buy these to get them relatively quickly.

UMHW is fine for non moving mounts, that is what you want. Delrin is only needed if things articulate. MMR is a fine vendor, it just may take a few weeks to get the bushings.

You can also get them on Ebay for cheap through pdrmotorsports. Search their store for "rx7" and you will see they sell solid subframe and rear diff mounts for the FC for $45 each shipped.

Definately upgrade your front diff mount, if it is stock, it will break. If you go with solid diff and subframe bushings you can run a solid front diff mount. If you do not go full solid with everything, stay with a Mazdacomp front mount or damage can result.

Thanks for the info! I plan on ordering some of those from pdrmotorsports. Is there any bolt on alternative to the welded front mount other than MazdaComp? If I'm running solid, I'd like to have a solid front as well.

This looks like a good solution: http://www.norotors.com/index.php?topic=3659.0
