Realistically what do you think I could get for my car?
« on: June 10, 2011, 07:50:03 AM »
I've taken up rally racing, which btw is better and more fun than anything else i've ever done.  It's not even close really.  So all my attention is on that, I feel bad as this car just sits in my garage.  I drove it today to work for the 5th time this year.  Probably have put 25 miles on this year so far.  Kinda sad.  Doesn't help it rains everyday in pittsburgh.

Getting it retuned here this summer.  Should make atleast in the upper 700's at the rear wheels.  Right now it's only at 650 @ 4700 rpms due to the wrong exhaust housing on the turbo.  Assume that's fixed though, as it will be soon.

Built 6.1 LS2
76mm Turbo
80lb injectors

Viper Rear
Driveshop shop custom axles

Widened fenders.
18x11.5  CCW SP500's rear, forget the front width off the top of my head.
Nitto 555rII's all around
Etc....

Right now, I would think about 15k. Pm me and I'll be there tomorrow with the cash.

Btw- this is an amazing car. I have no idea what it's worth.

it very much depends on your economic situation; how long you can wait to sell.
I would ask $30k-$35k if it is as nice in person as the pics appear.

I have the ability to sit on it, probably will drive it for the rest of the summer.  Then fix all the little things I know need fixed.  Mostly has to do with the interior.

~35k would be a good starting point I think.   That's assuming the body looks as good in person as in the pictures, and that the interior is in good condition.

Body is in great condition minus the stone chips on the lower rear fenders.  Big ass sticky tires and wide fenders; kicks a lot of rocks back.  I end up building a mud flap type deal and isn't nearly as bad.  I might even have it touched up if I sell it.  You can't really tell unless you're real close looking right at it.

I will say this car scares me to drive on the street.  Before the turbo i had around 450rwhp and that was a good amount for a street car.

Do those Corbeau's fit without hitting the doors/ center console?

I am thinking about selling it.  I will fix all the little things that I know need fixed first.

The corbeau's fit, but I have them bolted to the floor not on sliders.  I'm tall and couldnt fit with the sliders.

I agree that $35k seems to be about the most you can get for really nice FD's, no matter how much money is in them.  Parting out would probably get you a little less, if you sat around and waited for top dollar (a lot less if you rushed).

I'd say if the car's good looking and complete, it's worth considerably more as a turn-key package.  Put the price tag on it and sit on it till you get what you want from it... that's an incredible machine.
