I have a 1990 RX-7 Convertible that I purchased last September for a project. The car is in great shape. See pictures linked towards the end of the listing.

Clear Title

Year: 1990
Price:  $1200/obo
Location:  Bellevue, NE
 Make: Mazda
 Model: RX-7 Convertible
 Mileage: 141,000
 Color: Red
 Interior: Black / Leather / 2 Seater
Engine: Non-Running 13B Naturally Aspirated (i.e. Non-Turbo) Rotary - In need of rebuild
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual (good working order)

The engine is almost all the way removed. I have disconnected everything in preparation for swapping the engine. The only parts left to unbolt prior to removing the engine are the driveshaft, transmission mounts (crossmember), and engine motor mounts. I kept all the parts. The pictures I have online do not contain any shots of the engine bay for some reason, but it was very clean. I have a few pics on a crappy 2.1 megapixel camera i left in the garage at my brothers where the car is stored of before I started tearing into it.

I also have a used 13B Rotary Engine mated to a failed Automatic Transmission, which was to be my replacement engine. I've taken my time and have run out of it... I am selling the car in favor of gearing up on my 1975 Nova LN project and do not need two projects.

Parts Missing:
 Both Power Window motors
wiper delay switch (the picture shows the dash piece missing I have it, minus the switch)
Heater Vents (above radio, clearly pictured).
The rest of the car is complete.

$1200 is not firm, its just an ideal price. Serious inquiries only. I have no way to transport this car, pickup is required unless you pay me for gas/trailer rental from U-Haul, in which case I'll go up to 150 miles from Bellevue, Nebraska.

Here's the pictures from the day i went to purchase it (September, 2010:

Here's the only 2 pictures I have of it online prior to tearing into the engine bay:

So I take it the car is located in Bellevue Nebraska?  The top on that thing looks like new.  Did the previous owner have it replaced?  If so, that is a good thing.

I'm not personally interested, but the info could help with the sale.

I've updated the original post to incluce the location.  Yes, it is in Bellevue, Nebraska.

The top is original, suprisingly enough.   Its just in amazingly good shape.    I tell ya what,  the more time i've spent (today) reading some of the builds here,  the more and more i'm starting to tell myself that it'd be worth finding somewhere to keep the car for the next 3-5 years and maybe do a v8 swap in it.   I'm a Chevy guy.... but i do love this RX-7 and dropping an engine i'm familiar with in the car would be great.  My issue is that its at my brothers house and he's only going to be in his house for another 6 months or so (Navy) so i wont have anywhere to keep it when he sells his house.    My wifes vehicle and my '75 Nova are in my garage.... my Civic sits outside :)   Wife says no way we're having 4 cars at my 2-car garage house.

if anyone cares, the best picture i have of my Nova s here:  http://www.chevynovaln.com/tire2.jpg     That was back in 2002.

So... more than anyone probably wants/needs to know, but thought i'd share.

Car is currently pending sale.

I took pictures today of the engine bay as it sits and the extra engine/dead auto trans that I have for reference.    Thanks,

Car is sold. $950 if anyone wants to know.

Last shot of the vehicle (prior to putting hood on) before it left my garage. Tow bars was used due to U-Haul dolly restrictions on the buyers vehicle, so the bumper had to be removed. I did get word it got home safe 2.5 hours away.

Thanks all,

Brian
