As long as the A/C works.. it's all good. As far as these cars getting beat on, as long as they're up to date on the maintenance it should be fine. I dogged the hell out of my EVO for 6 years and when I sold it, everything was still working..
Heh thanks, and yes I made sure to check and the A/C blows nice and cold! I got a lot f crap from friends saying that it was probably beat on, etc. but as long as it was maintained well and not boosted until it was warm (which from my conversations with the previous owner, that sounds to be the case) I guess I could really care less.
What's cool is that the boost controller does boost by gear. 1st is limited to 10 PSI, 2nd 14 PSI, 3rd and 4th 23PSI, and 5th is like 14 PSI. After I bought the car and before I put it on the trailer to bring it home, my buddy and I took it on the highway and I brake boosted in 2nd at 30MPH and just went WOT... it actually hooked up without any problems whatsoever from 2nd through a little bit of 4th. I was impressed.
