They looked like single piston to me as well. The search begins for 4 piston calipers. Thanks!

BTW single piston fronts often came with solid rear disks.  If you can find a car with the four piston fronts you'll want to grab the rear brakes as well since the disks will be vented (two layer with webbing between the sides).

Umm update? Also, not knowing the overall benefits what would they be? Just less fade or quicker stopping initially? I am interested but I have 87 TII rims and am trying to stay as stock as possible looking. Soo time to search for rims..

I'm looking around for those o rings that are in between the casing halves. Can you help me out ronin? Either I'll buy some or let me know where you get them? Thanks.

Does anyone still produce such a kit for the FD?

No.  The only one who did was Roger Mandeville himself, but he's retired and the margins / risk of the product didn't justify it so he stopped.  I've checked out Mandeville's original design in great deal (I owned a kit for a while) but there were some things about the design I wouldn't do:  (offset rotor placement in the caliper slot, insufficient bracket thickness to show the margin I wanted relative to stress, etc).

The crux of the FD is that we need to design the kit to a custom rotor and hat and that jumps our cost on the kit by more than we think the market is willing to pay (it becomes a ~$1400 kit, with two piece rotor included).  To be fair I haven't looked at off the shelf rotors in a year or two, but if I owned an FD at that high a price I'd just be saving the extra grand to throw down for the stoptech kit or AP racing.  Dunno, anyone think $1400 with a two piece rotor would have any demand?

That said, I did just pick up another set of FD calipers from solo because it pisses me off how hard this has been to solve and I don't like feeling like the constraints beat me.   :secret:

Question on the FC Mandeville setup.

Will be switching over to a 6.25:1 pedal setup with dual masters.  Are there any suggestions on what to run for bore sizing on the front/rear assuming stock rear brakes and the Mandeville setup up front?  Seems to be a pretty wide open topic.  I've seen everything suggested on stock calipers from 5/8" - 7/10" to 3/4" square!

not super sure how useful my input is, but with the stock t2 calipers with hp+s, im running 5/8"F and 3/4"R on the wilwood 6.25 pedal assy. its a touch longer travel than i was planning, but the feel is still great, and works great for street driving.
if i were going to commit to no street driving i would probably go a touch bigger.

Thanks, having too long of a pedal was what I was worried about if the brakes were borderline fading on some of the faster tracks.  I wish they made a slightly shorter 6:1 setup, but everything seems to go from 5.5 to 6.25 with nothing in between, at least as far as the overhung Wilwood, Afco, and Tilton setups are concerned.

Anyone else have any feedback?

Hey guys, are the O rings you supply in the kit made from EPDM rubber? I found some O rings on McMaster's site, but I'm unsure what to get. Are the bridge O rings 9mm X 2mm? thanks!
