What exactly are the circuits that got drilled through?  looks like "speed sw" and "bz +" , "ign" and "j2"

From the schematics C-C01 connector:

No 3 Speed switch
No 4 Cooling fan indicator (used only on the turbo)
No 5 Not used

Question, so I've done the Integra Speedo swap done on the Rex and I finally got it tuned today. I told the tuner that it had 4.10 gears and also the tire size and he told me couldn't get the speedo tuned because according to him everything looked good on the PCM the where the speed is matched to the tach rpm? When I tried to show him some of the info off this thread he just looked at me like I was talking Greek  :banghead:

But the speedo is way off, as in I'm driving 40mph estimated speed and the actual speedo is pegged out over 140mph. What am I missing here? What information does the tuner need to get my speedo working? I have the needle setup to where it is zeroed out when I first turn the car on so I know thats good. Anybody have any ideas? Thank you.

Btw, the car made 387hp/368tq cam only. Pretty stoked about that.

Im having trouble with this too, I hooked mine up, ground on bottom right. Power bottom left, and pcm to top left, using 12 ga. Wire to power and ground, something like 18 ga. For pcm. And when im doing 5 mph, it says im doin 100 mph, then  of I go above 15 mph then its hitting the stopper on the 0 side, it still adds mile to the mile clock.. any help is appreciated

When i did mine I entered my tire size into the tire calculator and it gave me the tire height. I entered that into hp tuners along with the 4.10 rear gears and it set the proper vss pulses per mile and it was dead on when I tested it.

Question, my tuner used HPtuner on my car however I still have a Diablo Sport handheld tuner fromback in the day. Would I be able to use that to put in the tire size?

Here's a vid of what my gauges are doing from startup and then getting up to an estimated 10-15mph: http://youtu.be/QNVQxTEznRU

Jasong, was your speedo acting the same way as mine before your tune?

My pcm was already reprogrammed when I drove it the first time. I've never used the predator so I'm not sure on it's capabilities.

For all you guys who ended up reading 4x too high on the speedo, did you end up just tuning out the difference or was there more to it than that?  I just finished an integra speedo install on my LS2 swap and am also reading 4x too high on the speedo.

Norotors to the rescue (again).

I just finished the integra speedo mod and my gauge was spinning far too high as others have noted.  It's off by more than a 4:1 factor, I just drove and got gas (2-3 mile round trip) and my odometer registered 35 miles!  Quick search and yep, I'm tapped into the other signal.  ANSWER HERE:  http://www.norotors.com/index.php?topic=20642.0

Short version on my experience:  I should have done more research on s5 clusters before I jumped into this they're quite a bit different than the majority of what folks have been posting.  There's a small write up here http://www.norotors.com/index.php?topic=6598.0 by another gent.

I tried to through mount my gauge and then repair the circuits I cut, but a bunch of things aren't working now, so I have some troubleshooting still to do.  I'll post more details in the s5 specific thread later.

Finally got mine installed, the S5 is easy to tap into the existing harness but confusing at first. A picture of how I installed the back of mine, hope it helps anyone else looking to do this. You will need to drill carefully to extend the holes in the board down slightly for alignment.

It's crucial that you power the unit up then set the needle on the zero mark otherwise it will be about 40MPH too high. You'll also want to glue a needle stop in (otherwise it will be always set at -40 until you power the unit on). I ended up just gluing a shaved down black plastic fork tine to the face and looks pretty good actually.

I hooked mine up and used the dakota digital, but for some reason my speedo runs backwards? Any ideas?
