Thanks!

That's very creative fabrication! I had a feeling foam was involved. I've heard that if you make the entire thing out of foam you can dissolve the foam once its been enclosed in hardened fiberglass with acetone saving yourself the step of sawing the tube in half to get the mold out. However, I don't know if all resin brands/chemistry are resistant to acetone. I'll have to dig into it some more, but THANK YOU for the pics and description. Its very helpful.

You could probably disolve the foam but without cutting you can't resin the inside to make sure there aren't loose peices, tape, foam or flashed section that could harm the engine if disloged.  We cut apart to smooth the insidea and because we used cardboard since we already had this instead of purchasing more supplies.

Very good point. Thank you for the insight.

Was thinking bout selling my car....what would yall ask?
Note it has 160k on car now so in 90k on engine. Never been raced. Few issues: needs a windshield, heater box replace (have one) and pass outside door handle. Heater box works but starting to leak. Door handle does not open from outside. I daily drove this car and have done DGRR.

Not sure what else to mention that isn't in the build thread....

thx
