Basically what they are all saying is..
Only place in America the laws restrict concealed or open carry is in the most
Crime ridden areas.

So only the criminals have guns out in public in those places.

That made sense to someone...

This entire conceal and carry thing has my mind boggled. I mean, we have become such a scociety of fear, it is crazy. We let the media/marketing mobs control our lives and don't even realize it. The fear that we need to be armed all the time is crazy to me. And really, it is the getto mentality has reached the main stream. The mentality of "I have to shot him before he shoots me"
I live in chicago in a gentrafying neighborhood, regularly go to some of the worst neighborhoods in the city for big brothers/big sisters.(my wife has a little sister for about 7 years now). Neither her nor me has ever felt the need to be armed.

And you might think I am anti-gun. Nope, own 2 shotguns 2 rifles and 2 black powder guns. We love shooting, not even hunting. I have a shotgun in my closet, for protection. You enter someone's house, totally different story.

I just don't think that anyone should be walking around with a gun, without training thinking they are going to play hero. Being armed isn't the answer. Stop being afraid and enjoy your life. Having a gun on your hip doesn't make you more relaxed.

In Maine we have open carry, but you don't often see it in developed areas unless someone just happens to be returning from the range/hunting. I wouldn't say people are on edge with it... The laws are one thing, the culture is another.

If our laws aren't reflecting what society desires, that means that the NRA is behind this movement?

One of my best friends walked in on his brother shot twice, once in the neck and once in the head, when a couple of guys didn't want to pay for their fake convertible top he had put on their hoopty-mobile. Killed him over a $500 piece of canvas.

So, I'd have to completely disagree with this statement. Media doesn't make me own and carry a gun, stuff like this does.

I like open carry better.

Short answer? Yes.

The NRA represents gun manufacturers now - that's it.

So your assumption from all this is that anyone who carries a gun is ghetto and lives in fear of being shot 24/7?

Man, what a shitty way to live.  Im certainly glad that every gun toting friend i know is nothing like this, or we might start offing each other... Kind of like gentlemen that live in the chicago area and are part of gentlemens clubs.
